Kimerioni

ქიმერიონი - KIMERIONI
In 1919, the Georgian Writers’ Union bought a restaurant from the city administration and organized a cafe-restaurant-club called “Kimerioni”. The idea for naming came from Valerian Gaprindashvili’s poem. And it’s walls were painted by famous artists like Gudiashvili, Sudeikin and Toidze family. At that time, Kimerioni was an important gathering place for the artists. From modernist cafe in 1919 to a fine dining restaurant in 2020, Kimerioni still manages to keep it’s creative spirit alive.
